Παρά τις πέντε υποψηφιότητες στα βραβεία EMMY, τελικά το Lost δεν απέσπασε ούτε ένα βραβείο! Και πώς φυσικά να συμβεί κάτι διαφορετικό, αφού η τελευταία σεζόν της δημοφιλούς σειράς ήταν η χειρότερη απ' όλες τις προηγούμενες, ενώ και το τέλος που πρόσφεραν οι σεναριογράφοι στους φανς ήταν κατά πολύ κατώτερο των προσδοκιών που οι ίδιοι είχαν δημιουργήσει όλα αυτά τα χρόνια.
Κατά τα άλλα, ως καλύτερη δραματική σειρά διακρίθηκε το Mad Men, αφήνοντας πίσω του την 6η σεζόν του Lost και την 4η του Dexter, που στα χαρτιά θεωρούνταν τα μεγάλα φαβορί. Παράλληλα, ο Bryan Cranston του Breaking Bad υπερίσχυσε του Matthew Fox (Jack),αλλά και των Hugh Laurie (House) και Michael C. Hall (Dexter), ενώ επίσης ο Aaron Paul του Breaking Bad κατάφερε να επικρατήσει των Michael Emerson και Terry O' Quinn.
